Ken is highly regarded as an entrepreneur, patent holder and developer with 30 years of experience in facility management.
Ken opened his first company in 1990 specializing in large industrial and commercial properties. Parking lot management and landscape maintenance was a large portion of that business which led him in the direction of environmental affairs. After working for a national spill control company, Ken developed and patented a line of products specializing in stormwater contamination reduction systems.
Ken is a lifetime resident of Kitsap County, a graduate of Western Washington University and enjoys spending time with his 3 children and his trusted canine companion, “Boomer,” Stormwater Controls mascot.

Susan was born and raised in rural Kitsap County. After completing an apprenticeship as a Marine Pipefitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, she continued working on Naval vessels, eventually spending 26 years there. After retirement, she unexpectedly ran into Ken at their high school reunion, which led to a job offer from Stormwater Controls. With her extensive background working with plumbing and piping systems, she was a great fit at Stormwater Controls. With her interest in preserving nature, she could see the importance and value in the Retain Drain system, so she was happy to join our team.
In her spare time, she volunteers with the Great Peninsula Conservancy (GPC) and the Puget Soundkeepers. She also enjoys working on classic automobiles, photography, and spending time in the woods and on the water.
